This year’s Floodlight Charity League was, as usual, a great success. Bowlers from local clubs, Norwest, Paulton, Prattens and Purnell, along with a team of players from Frome Selway and Frome Park, enjoyed some brilliant evenings on the green whilst raising money to support some great local charities.

This year, the lads raised a brilliant £1,500 for the ‘Helping Henry’ charity. Henry is a local lad who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy spastic diplegia at the age of twelve months.

Henry is an amazingly happy boy with a ready smile, and we hope that the donation will go some little way towards Helping Henry and his family to fund the operation which will greatly improve his mobility and quality of life.

Floodlight League Committee members, Trevor Francis and Brian Holmes presented Henry’s mum, Lara, with the cheque at Norwest’s Presentation Evening on Saturday. NH
