Mendip's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A36, from 8pm June 13 to 4am June 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Bathampton to Bath Road Rbt - temporary traffic signals for drainage works.

And a further four closures will begin over the next seven days:

A36, from 9am June 27 to 3pm June 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 northbound, Beckington lane closure for sign works.

A36, from 7pm to 10pm on June 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Chapmanslade traffic lights on behalf of BT.

A36, from 9pm June 30 to 6am July 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 southbound, Beckington lane closure for electrical works.

A36, from 9am July 4 to 3pm July 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Chapmanslade traffic lights for signs works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
