North Somerset's motorists will have six road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M5, from 9pm September 29 to 5am October 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 19 M5 exit and entry slip lane closures installed by North Somerset Council for A369 The Portbury Hundred resurfacing works.

M5, from 8pm October 3 to 6am October 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 to junction 20 lane closures for improvement/Upgrade scheme.

M5, from 9pm September 29 to 6am December 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 19 to junction 18 lane closures for bridge maintenance.

And a further three closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M5, from 8pm October 6 to 6am October 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 20 to junction 21 lane closures for improvement/Upgrade scheme.

M5, from 8pm October 14 to 4am October 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 21 to junction 20 - lane closure for drainage works.

M5, from 8pm October 16 to 6am October 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 21 to junction 22 carriageway closure for resurfacing works, diversion A370, A371, The Runway, Winterstoke Road, Broadway, A370, A38, re-join M5 at, junction 22.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
