With plans starting to firm up on the development of the former Welton Bibby and Baron site, Welton Village Group and the Development Company, WPB, are keen to seek the views of local residents and establish how closely the present proposals meet their hopes and aspirations.
Welton Village Group hosted the first public meeting on the proposed development in January 2014. At that stage, the development plans were rather different from current plans and in the hands of a different developer.
The present developers, WPB, have subsequently held two well attended poster presentations detailing the current conceptual development plans and have now kindly agreed to attend an open meeting on the subject hosted and chaired by Welton Village Group.
The meeting will be held on Wednesday, 16th March in the Assembly Rooms, Midsomer Norton Town Hall, starting at 7.30 p.m. It is planned to start with an opening presentation by WPB explaining the current plans and the various phases of the development process. A chaired question and answer session will then follow after a short break enabling local residents to have their say.
The meeting is open to anyone with an interest in the future of Welton and is free to attend.
