PLANS to redevelop Bath Fire Station are being shared by Avon Fire & Rescue Service, inviting the community to view and comment on the proposals.

A public consultation will be held at the station on Tuesday, June 10, with a drop-in session from 12 noon to 7.30pm. The rebuild aims to modernise the 1938 building, improving response times, efficiency and prevention work.

Construction firm Willmott Dixon will lead the project, with the fire service, designers and contractors on hand to answer questions.

Patrick Hollins, head of estates at AF&RS, said: “While we continue to develop our plans and prepare to submit a planning application, feedback from our neighbours, residents in the city and the wider community, is integral to informing our design proposals and the application.”
