Residents in the Somer Valley area are being invited to attend the upcoming AGM of their local Connecting Communities Forum.

Connecting Communities Forums are supported by B&NES Council and bring together public services, local organisations and residents to improve local engagement, encourage people to talk to each other and share their skills and ideas.

The AGM of the Somer Valley Area Forum, which covers Farmborough, Farrington Gurney, High Littleton, Midsomer Norton, Paulton, Peasedown St John, Radstock, Timsbury and Westfield, will be held on Wednesday, 19th February

from6p.m.–8p.m.atthe Assembly Room, Midsomer Norton Town Hall, The Island BA3 2HQ.

Local residents are invited to attend, together with the area’s parish councils, community organisations and ward councillors.

The main theme of the AGM is Climate Emergency and the Forum will receive an update from B&NES Council on its Climate Emergency declaration. It will also hear from Bath and West Commu- nity Energy, Green Action North East Somerset and how Farmborough established its community shop.

Councillor Dine Romero, Leader of B&NES Council, said: “It is a great opportunity to give us feedback and share your ideas and I would urge residents to try to attend and let us hear their views.”
