Drivers in and around North Somerset will have eight National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a holdup of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that eight closures are due to start this week:

M5, from 8am to 5.30pm on June 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 to 19 hard shoulder closure for survey.

M5, from 9pm June 6 to 6am June 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 20 to 21 lane closure for survey works.

M5, from 9pm June 8 to 6am June 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 19 to 20 lane closure for survey works.

M5, from 9pm June 9 to 6am June 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 19 to 20 lane closure for survey works.

M5, from 9pm June 10 to 6am June 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 19 to 20 lane closure for survey works.

M5, from 9pm June 13 to 6am June 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 Both Directions, junction 20 to junction 21 Lane closure for Bridge Construction, M5, junction 21 northbound, entry slip diversion: M5 southbound to junction 22 and return, M5, junction 21 southbound, exit slip diversion: Continue southbound to junction 22 and return.

M5, from 9pm June 14 to 6am June 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 20 to 19 lane closure for survey works.

M5, from 10pm June 16 to 6am June 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 19 to 20 lane closure for survey works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
