PUPILS and staff at St John’s Primary School marked National Fitness Day with a morning “Wake and Shake” session on the playground.

The playground was filled with music and movement as children and teachers took part in a high-energy routine designed to get everyone active and ready for the day.

The activity encouraged the whole school community to recognise the importance of staying active for both physical health and mental wellbeing.

The event is part of the school’s wider commitment to promoting health and wellbeing, with regular opportunities throughout the year for pupils to take part in active learning, sports clubs, and outdoor play, reflecting its ongoing focus on encouraging healthy lifestyles both in and out of the classroom.
