Members from SWALLOW Charity and staff visited the Somerset Toiletry Company in Hallatrow to see behind the scenes what work there might involve. SWALLOW supports local teenagers and adults with learning disabilities and is very grateful to The Somerset Toiletry Company for joining its new Corporate Friends Scheme.

The group were given a tour of the factory and enjoyed learning about the process of making soap. They then went on to the café and were able to wrap their own soaps to take home. SWALLOW and The Somerset Toiletry Company are planning to explore employment opportunities for people with learning disabilities, and this visit marked the start of a lovely new venture.

One of SWALLOW’s members, Leanne, said: “I love the soap factory, it smells so nice. I would really like to be able to work here.”
