The pupils of Trinity School and St Mary’s School, Timsbury, worked with Farah over a period of ten weeks to write and illustate the book together.

Natalie Jones, Deputy Head of Trinity Church School said: “This keenly awaited story written and illustrated by our talented year five and six pupils with the help of local writer and teacher Farah Downing is the result of a collaborative creative curriculum project that began in the Autumn term.
“The end result is a published picture book that showcases the creative abilities of our amazing students.”
Author Bio
Farah Downing is the author of several children’s books and the founder of The Story Project. She is a mum of three and teacher with more than twenty years experience in the classroom. Farah also works with children and young people at The Egg theatre as a drama practitioner. Farah lives near Bath with her family and her mission is to help develop children’s creative learning experiences in a fresh and meaningful way .
The story project gives young people the opportunity to work collaboratively with Farah to write and illustrate a children’s story. Students take part in a series of creative workshops to reach a common goal; to publish a story that celebrates their local area and embraces the folklore and tales associated with that area. The first Story Project saw Farah working with over one hundred year five children from Cornish schools to produce & publish Tyrannosaurus Tate, a picture book about the famous gallery.
