A 35 year old decoration helped secure the top prize in the Westfield Christmas outdoor decoration competition.
The judging of the annual ‘Christmas Lights Competition’ in Westfield took place on Thursday, December 18, by Cllr Philip Wilkinson, chairman of the parish council, along with Cllr Diana Cooper and a special guest Father Christmas.
Cllr Wilkinson said: “We are very grateful to the residents of Westfield for going to so much effort to brighten this gloomy December. The standard this year was exceptionally high, which made our job very difficult.”
However, there can only be one winner — Mr Jeremy Hault at No.11, The Leaze.
The snowman on his garage roof is 35 years old, which is when he started his collection for his young daughter and continues for his grandchildren.
