Just before Christmas, Paulton Bowls Club held its annual presentation evening, celebrating another interesting and competitive year for the members. Last minute changes to the venue saw club members enjoy an excellent festive meal at the local village hall.

President, Joyce Denning, congratulated all those who had taken part in competitions in 2016 and presented trophies to all of the winners and runners-up in the traditional way.

Men’s Two Wood, Colin Curtis. Ladies’ Two Wood, Viv Beech.

Men’s Pairs, Trevor Francis and Colin Curtis.

Ladies’ Pairs, Viv Beech and Jane Bridcut.

Mixed Pairs, Pat Stock and Andrew Elly.

Triples, Pat Stock, Roger Lucking and Bob Gay.

Fours, Norrie Beech, Noreen Chambers, Jane Bridcut and John Denning.

Fixed Jack, Martyn May.

Wilf Cope Trophy, Annabelle Curtis and Trevor Francis.

Champ of Champs, Annabelle Curtis.

A special presentation was made to John Church for his services to the club during the season.

Member of the year, voted for by the membership at the last AGM, was shared on this occasion by Joyce Denning and Di Ball, so very many congratulations to them both.
