It is nearly half way through the winter league at Purnell Indoor Bowls and things are hotting up, with many teams in contention for league honours.
The social side of the club continues to flourish. Last Friday, it was entertainment night and the club welcomed back the outstanding entertainer, Chris Rainbow, who had the dancers moving well on the dance floor. All this came after several bingo players won big amounts of money!
Club Treasurer, Janet Palmer’s skittles team continue to do well, they are finding the wooden surface very good, so they say, and they occasionally win a game, too.
There are two more big events for the club before the New Year. The men, after their tremendous season outdoors, are having a Celebration Evening on Thursday, 22nd December, followed the next night Friday, 23rd December by the club’s Christmas Bingo and Draw.
The club wishes the Outdoor and Indoor members a Happy Christmas and a Healthy New Year.
