PAULTON Bowls Club made a cracking start to the week with the gents managing another all rinks victory over Purnells B on Wednesday, gaining a valuable twelve points.

While, on Saturday, in the County League, away at Stothert and Pitt, Paulton came away with 10 points after a win on two rinks and the overall game on a testing green.

These results tend to show how well the newer members of the team are slotting into their positions and gives hope for the future of the club.

However the club could not maintain this form for the rest of the week, losing a game in the Turnbull Cup away to Frome Park which means they play now play for the Turnbull Plate in future games in the series.
