PAULTON played their last game in this season’s County Bowls League at home against Weston Bath.

The game would decide the final places in the East One division and after the teams played in a determined and cohesive way Paulton triumphed on all three rinks, which earned them to third place in the division, one of the best outcomes for the club in many years.

The club also played its own competition finals over the Bank Holiday Weekend, with great rivalry shown on the green in some very close well fought games with Anna Blackwell and Dave Yarlett coming out as the ladies’ and men’s champions respectively; they will play for the champion of champions . The days ended with a ploughman’s on Sunday and a barbecue on Monday; so many thanks to Pam Erickson and Dave Beard for their efforts.
