The weather is dismal – but spring will soon be here!

If you are looking for a new outdoor sport interest, where you can be as competitive as you like, with light exercise, at a club that has some of the best facilities in the area and a strong social side, look no further than the Beginners’ course at Camerton and Peasedown Croquet Club.

Croquet can be played socially and competitively – come and find out more about a game with six hoops, four balls and two mallets. Men and Women play on equal terms; skill and tactics are the name of the game, and age is no barrier.

Camerton and Peasedown Croquet Club will be holding their Beginners’ course on Sunday afternoons from 2 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. on 10th, 17th and 24th March and 3rd April. All equipment will be provided – all you need is a pair of flat-soled shoes.

The club’s experienced and accredited coaches will take you through all the different skills and tactics you’ll need to play this increasingly popular game.

At the start of the first day, you may a bit hesitant about hitting the ball, but by the end you’ll be clearing the opposition and scoring hoops as if it was second nature.

Our club has established itself as part of the community. It offers superb facilities, with four lawns, a club pavilion and beautiful views across the Somerset countryside – not forgetting free equipment and coaching, and a wide range of inclusive social events.
