With a number of players unavailable, ‘Killy’ travelled to Keynsham with a very young squad and followed up last week’s victory with an emphatic seven-wicket win.

Fielding first in the searing heat, wickets were shared around as Keynsham were restricted to 172, five in forty overs. ‘Killy’, in reply, reached their target comfortably for the loss of just three wickets.

Stephen Jackson, with 112, reaching a century for the third successive week, was well-supported throughout by youngsters Luke Carter (seventeen) and Ben Curtis, who hit the winning runs (sixteen not-out).

So after an entire season without a single victory, ‘Killy’ are up and running with two on the bounce, and look forward to this week’s home game versus Whitchurch Wyverns, kindly sponsored by Cliffords Recovery, with renewed optimism.
