TEMPLE Cloud Cricket Club have progressed to the final of the Somerset Village Cup.

Temple, who now play home matches at Farnborough, comprehensively beat North Perrott last Sunday by eight wickets.

The visitors never recovered from losing two wickets in the first over and were quickly 19 for 4, George Foster taking all four in a devastating opening spell.

Reece Croker then ripped through the middle order before Nick Campbell cleaned up the tail with only 43 on the board.

Temple Cloud reached their total with the loss of only two wickets and will now play the winners of Wembdon or Long Sutton on Sunday, 7th June.

“Older” readers may recall Timsbury reaching the final of this competition at Lords some years ago; let’s hope Temple Cloud can do the same. Pete Flower
