Divergent results for Wells Golf Club Seniors

The Wells Open 3-Ball Bowmaker was held on a day which encompassed all four seasons with testing conditions for all competitors.

Winners were Simon Harris (21), Aidan Guy (21) and Dale Killey (19) with a great score of eighty three points.

Second place went to Michael Metcalfe (9), Stephen Davis (9) and Robert Hardy (15) with eighty points.

Third were Simon Butler (18), Dave Alexander (25) and Ian Haskins (23) with seventy nine points.

The mixed Open 4BBB was held in glorious weather and was won by Katrina Foote and Glen Crocker with forty six points (countback). Narrowly second were David and Linda Smith and third were Andy and Polly Williams with a very creditable forty three points.

Club Night was won by Toby Cole with a 12 hole score of twenty seven points.

The Ladies June Stableford results were a Division One win for Philippa Gowan with thirty one points, Katrina Foote winning Division Two with 36 and Christine Juke taking Division Three with 42.

In this week’s Senior Mens’ Matches there were hugely divergent results with our team succumbing to Farringdon 7-0 on Tuesday and then walloping Enmore 6-1 0 Friday.

The Mixed Friendly team welcomed Clevedon on Sunday and a closely fought contest was eventually drawn 3-3. Guy Timson
