The Mid-Somerset League season continued with Cup games the feature at the weekend.

In the Charity Cup, with High Littleton beating Timsbury Ath Res 2-0, Bath Villa travelled to Wells and beat the A team in a close encounter, 1-0. Westfield Res had a walkover, with Farrington Gurney unable to raise a team, and Pilton Utd advanced to the next round after a 3-2 win against Purnell Sports Res.

In the Morland Cup Semi-Final, Weston FC from Bath beat high-flying Wessex. They will meet the winners of the Belrose vs Farrington Gurney clash at Shepton Mallet FC on Friday, 3rd May.

The Wilmott Cup finalists were decided when Pilton Utd Res defeated Chilcompton Utd, 3-0, and Mendip Rangers crushed Evercreech Rovers Res, 7-1.

In the Premier Division, Frome Collegians moved closer to the title with a 2-1 victory against local rivals, Coleford Ath. Peasedown Albion, who have an outside chance of Premier Division honours, overcoming Bath Villa, 6-2.

The Second Division title was decided, with Peasedown Albion Res getting a 4-0 victory.

Charlton United from the Third Division claimed only their second win of the season, with a 2-1 win at Chilcompton Sports A.
