Radstock Town FC travelled to Portsmouth for their First Round match against Baffins Milton Rovers.
Radstock started the game well in very difficult weather conditions, and continued their passing game against the more physical Baffins.
Radstock brought two good saves from Baffins’ keeper – the first shot from James Rusty, the second from Jack Bidds. Radstock came under pressure, but the new central pairing of Stocks and Ingram were a match for Baffins’ strikers.
The second half got underway, and Radstock were on top, but missed some chances that another day’s front three would have taken. With five minutes left to go, a defensive effort by Radstock gifted the Portsmouth team a spot in the next round. Radstock were very unlucky, and should have been out of sight before this incident.
Radstock Town move on to their next League game this Saturday, 28th October against Keynsham Town.
