Mendip Men’s Avalon A team fought for a hard earned draw when visiting Enmore. However, they were not so fortunate when going down to a narrow 3–2 defeat to Stockwood Vale.
The Ladies held a Greensomes Competition which produced a close result. Winning with 35 points were the pairing of Jean Padfield/Linda Brobson, followed by Wendy Norman/Eileen Masters, with 34 points, beating Carol Curtis/Anne Collins on countback.
The annual running of the Millington Salver, a mixed event, was another very competitive affair. Winning, with 41 points, were Linda Brobson/M. Necker with David and Lynn Cox in second place, with forty points, beating Sarah James and Glynn Haddock on countback.
Mendip Past Captains held their annual event recently. The winners of the Team event were TonyWilliams/Tony Taylor/Philip Moores/Jim Scott. The Individual
Trophy went to Hugh Glandfield with Philip Moores second and Duncan Offer, third.
