On a calm and gentle autumn day, when the sun broke through at regular intervals, the men’s section held their annual “3 Clubs and a Putter Bowmaker” competition last Saturday at Wells Golf Club.

A full complement of groups teed off from 8am to midday on a course which had withstood the heavy rain of the previous week extremely well – the greens were in especially good condition for this time of year.

There were some amazing scores and congratulations to David Cunningham, Jason Sykes and Dale Killey for their win.

Second - Mike McKay, Stuart Mann & Graham Williamson – 84

Third - Ken Mitchell, Michael Currell & Graham Hall – 84

Fourth - James Stainer, Mark Stainer & Josh White – 83

Fifth - Josh Berkeley, Jack Malone & Phil Linter – 82
