AT THE recent Wells Golf Club 3-Ball Bowmaker Open event, there was not just one hole-in-one, but an extraordinary two.

Angela Hodder, a member of Yeovil Golf Club, enjoyed an ace on the 153yd par 3, 10th and John Graydon, who plays at Lansdown Golf Club, had his ace on the 159yd par 3, 17th.

It was a very special day for both players and Wells Golf Club, as many players can only dream about such a feat, despite playing on a regular basis .

After a week of cold wet weather it was splendid to have a sunny day, albeit the wind was strong. The best score was from the home team, Michael Blane, Mark Neighbour and Nick Gumm with with a score of 79 points. The first visitor team were Simon Scott, Jonathon Oakes & Adrian Taverner from The Kendleshire GC with 75 points.
