On Thursday, 9th February, fourteen teams of three ladies took part in the Pink Ball Bowmaker, with each team member taking it in turns to have the pink ball. The lady with the pink ball scored double on that hole and one other score counted – in the event of losing the pink ball, only one score counted on that hole, and then you continued with two scores to count on each hole. Returning the pink ball gave the team an extra five points.
Twelve teams returned the pink ball and some very good scores were recorded. There were three two spots – Gill Russell on the first hole, Wendy Butt on the fourth and Maureen Goodsir on the fifteenth. The winning team, scoring 126 points, were Lesley Stone, Fiona Hassard and Carol King. In second place, with 120 points, were Lin Papadopoullos, Min Woodward and Lo Dallocco and in third place, with 118 points, were Sue Stilwell, Mandy Hobbs and Tracy Grist.
