The Ladies AGM was well attended to say thank you to Gill Magrath for all her hard work over the year and to welcome in Tina Davies as the Ladies Captain for 2017.

Reports were heard from committee members on all aspects of their work and this was followed by a prize presentation. A special prize was awarded to Beryl Carson for her unstinting support of the section and the club. Roy Elliott attended to present the splendid trophy in memory of his wife, Janet.

Two members of the committee stood down: Mary Harrison and Caroline Nolder and both were thanked for their contribution. Kathy Lane joined the committee.

The men had the difficult choice of taking just three clubs and a putter for a team competition with Leigh Harvey, Neville Harvey and Steve Porter making good decisions and winning with 81 points. In second place were Steve Heath, Adam Holliday and Chris Strickland with 78 points and in third place were Paul Hembury, Gary Nutt and Tim Taylor with 77 points. There were ten two spots to celebrate too.

The Ladies Chicken Chase event was a Dallas Scramble event held over twelve holes. Ladies Captain, Tina Davies presented the first prize to Barbara Harris, Erica Klim and Kitty Usher who had nett 46. In second place were Sue Hockey, Janice White and Jenny Davis with nett 47 (on count back) and third were Tina Davies, Rose Hallett and Margaret Sellar.
