The Seniors’ section of Fosseway Golf Club celebrated another enjoyable season with a Presentation Lunch at the Centurion Hotel, Midsomer Norton. As a result of the pandemic, the event was almost a year later than normal and celebrated the results of 2020.

The Player of the Year award for the Roger Tabb Trophy went to Competition Secretary, Doug Lane, who had an outstanding season winning the Winter League, the Colin Eaton 3 Club competition,the Eric James Cup, the Mark Bridges Cup and together with Alan Jones, the Stan Brown Cup and with Paul Davies, the Roger Tabb Cup.

Allen Cheney enjoyed another good year, lifting the Rupert Moore Cup for the Seniors’ Championship, the over-75s title for the John Appleton Cup and finishing runner-up in the Winter League. As well as combining with Lane to win the Stan Brown Cup, Secretary Alan Jones also joined up with John Williams and Harold Lidbitter to win the Vic South Trophy and with Frank Reeves to claim the Committee Cup. Paul Davies backed up his Roger Tabb Cup success with victories in the Guerwyn Thomas Trophy alongside Gerry Rowell and in the Continuforms Trophy with Williams and Roger Knowles.
