THE Somerset Junior County Championship took place at Worlebury Golf Club and Wells were represented by six juniors in a field of 33.
They braved some cold and very windy conditions on the North Somerset coastline. The course was in great condition and provided a parkland test with some similar features to Wells GC.
A tough uphill first hole into a strong wind provided an immediate challenge. It was a terrific day for Wells in the U12s with Ben Taylor winning, scoring a gross 83 and William Hambleton finishing runner up with a personal best of 85 - a Wells 1 & 2.
There was strong competition in the U14s with the winner scoring gross 78. Well done Reece Tucker for finishing 6th with a round of 84. Well done to Eddy Sperring-Trendl (U12), Dylan Pugh and Stanley Dash (U14) for giving it your best efforts in tough conditions.Great to see the young talent coming through the Junior Section.
