Ladies

Farrington Park Ladies’ morning is held on Thursdays and so far this year, Thursday morning fun competitions have not taken place due to weather disruptions, so it was with great relief to find 19th January a gorgeous, sunny winter’s day.

45 ladies, in teams of three, took part in the Florida Scramble fun competition. All three ladies tee off and one of the tee shots is chosen. The lady who played that shot stands aside, while her two team members play from that spot. This continues until the team hole out.

This relaxed competition was thoroughly enjoyed, with some very good scores being submitted. In first place were Maureen Charlton, Pauline Young and Margaret Seery, with 68.6, in second place were Sue Stilwell, Lena Warren and Lin Papadopollous, with 69.6, in third place were Min Woodward, Cynthia Miller and Lo Dallocco, with 71.1 on countback, and fourth were Fiona Hassard, Kay Clarke and Carol Jones, also with 71.1 points.
