Paulton came back from Evesham United last Saturday snatching victory in the ninetieth minute. On the first-half chances, however, they should have been out of sight. Scott Brice had headed Rovers ahead in the tenth minute from Brandon Barnes' corner on the right.

Paulton were to rue those misses when Lance Smith levelled three minutes after the break and Ben Evans put Evesham ahead on 59 minutes with a superb half-volley that gave Kyle Phillips no chance. McCootie equalised in the 63rd minute, getting on the end of Mike Perrott's accurate cross from the left wing. Three minutes later, Luke Ballinger looked to have won a penalty after being bundled over in the box, but to the surprise of even the home fans, the referee awarded a free kick out of the penalty area.

Immediately afterwards, Stuart Tovey seemed to win a firm and fair tackle on Cheltenham Town loanee, James Bowen, who went in equally robustly. The referee had waived play on until Bowen and two other Evesham players surrounded Tovey and then appeared to lay hands on Mr Law.

After discussion with his assistant, he showed Tovey a red card and took no action against any Evesham player. Undaunted, Paulton applied pressure, risking three at the back to maintain the threat of McCootie and Josh Klein-Davies. It was rewarded in the ninetieth minute, when McCootie disposed defender, Jamie Stauntson, to lay the ball back to Josh Klein-Davies, who steadied his balance on the ball before driving it low, past home keeper, Louis Barnfather.

Paulton had a busy Easter season, winning on Maundy Thursday, 2–0 against Bishop's Cleeve and faced Mangotsfield in the final home game of the season on Easter Monday, winning 2–0.

This match also saw Nick McCootie score the 100th league goal for the team this season.
