On 28th December, local pool players from Westhill Club, the Railway and Purnell joined together for a Scotch Pairs Pool Competition at Westhill to raise funds for the charity, PAPYRUS, a national cause dedicated to the prevention of young suicide.
The pool was played in very good spirits and the evening, organised by Steve ‘Stuntman’ Woodham, raised a total of £133. The pairs were drawn randomly on the night and the eventual winners were Darren Willmott, from the Railway and Josh Button, from Purnell, who defeated Francis Bailey and Gary Harvey in a very tense final.
All players donated their entry fee to the charity and further funds were raised during the evening and donated by the players.
