THE Paulton & District Skittle League 2024–2025 season concluded with three cup finals in three days.

The outcome of these finals were: Knock Out Cup winners, ‘Large and in Charge’, runners up, ‘Happy Wanderers’. Nomination Cup winners, Purnells Cricket Club’, runners up, ‘Chewton Exiles’. K.O Plate winners; Wobbly Pin Heads, runners up Nobby’s Nuts.

After a long 30 week league season congratulations go to Purnells Cricket Club, who are champions of Division One. Their victory went down to the very last match, clinching the title from Chewton Exiles, who took the runners up spot. Indeed congratulations to all teams who won promotion and commiserations to teams who felt the cold grip of relegation.

Pin Busters’ player Ivan Stinchcombe won the individual tournament ‘Skittler of the Year’ for a second time, and this season’s top score of 69 pins went jointly to C Knowles and J Davis. Well done those men.

Currently the league has one spare place for a new team to join next season. If you are interested please contact Keith Parsons or Graham Whittock or come to our AGM on Friday, 13th June, to be held at Radstock Working Men’s Club commencing at 8pm. Here all trophies & prizes will be awarded and where our charity donation will be presented to our nominated charities.

May we remind all teams to send at least one representative to the AGM, and ask that teams return their registration forms to the General Secretary or League Manager asap. Other ways of registering can be found on our website.
