A RECENT visit by a nursing home manager to Frome Community College opened up a conversation with students about care as a career pathway.

Frome Nursing Home manager Sherin Anup alongside care practitioner Kat Wilcox spoke to the students at the College.They discussed fair pay across all ages, and the different roles within the home aside from care including activities, domestic, administration, maintenance and catering roles, giving the students a clearer picture of how many varied work is in the care profession in the community.

In her presentation care practitioner Kat said: “There is a role for everyone, many people think that working in a care home is just one role, but there are so many different career pathways at Frome Nursing Home.”
