National Highways South West warning commuters of M4 road closure due to serious collision.
The National Highways have taken to 'X' to warn commuters of the closure of the M4 in both directions between J18 Bath and J17 Chippenham.
They said: 'The #M4 is CLOSED in both directions between J18 #Bath and J17 #Chippenham due to a serious collision.Emergency services are on scene.'

National Highways advise of diversions for drivers:
'Road users are advised to follow the solid diversion symbol on road signs if heading eastbound'.
- Exit the M4 eastbound at J18.
- At the roundabout , take the 3rd exit and join the A46 towards Bath.
- At the A46/A420 roundabout , take the 1st exit and join the A420 towards Chippenham.
- At the A420/A350 roundabout , take the 1st exit and join the A350 towards the M4.
- At the A350.M4 roundabout , take the 3rd exit and rejoin the M4 at J17.
