CHEW Magna Society's much-loved Party in the Paddock is set to return this July.

In a joint collaboration with the Chew Valley Cricket Club the party in the paddock next to the cricket pitch will be filled with entertainment, delicious food and drink and plenty of family fun.

Guests can look forward to an exciting programme of activities throughout the day, including cricket matches, bouncy castle, live screening of the Wimbledon final, music, kids games, the Congresbury Brass Band and so much more.

For the first time, the Chew Magna Society is also introducing a Tug of War contest and is asking people to enter their teams in advance.

The Chew Magna Society is a volunteer group dedicated to arranging community events for residents in the village.

Party in the Paddock has become a firm fixture in the village calendar, providing an opportunity for all ages to come together and celebrate everything that makes the local community special.

Member of the Chew Magna Society, Pete Elliott, said: “Party in the Paddock has always been a special event for the Chew Magna Society.

“There’s a really lovely community atmosphere with everyone enjoying the activities and entertainment - come rain or shine.

“We’re really excited to be bringing the new addition of the Tug of War contest this year and seeing everyone take part.

The Party in the Paddock starts at midday on Sunday, July 12 until 6pm.
