RENEWED efforts have been made to build 130 homes on Farrington Road at the border of Paulton.

Gladman Developments Ltd have submitted a planning application to Bath and North East Somerset Council.

Located next to existing homes the application lays out proposals for up to 130 homes (including an unspecified amount of affordable housing), with a public open space, landscaping, a sustainable drainage system, a vehicular access point and the demolition of a farm building.

A similar proposal, made in 2021, was rejected following backlash from residents, councillors and campaigners.

Gladman Developments have opened up a consultation on the proposals. Paulton Parish Council’s planning and highways committee have been scheduled to discuss the application at a meeting on Tuesday, September 9.
