HOARDINGS at Vallis Road are being given a makeover.

Commissioned by Frome Town Council, a mural by local artist Paul Mutartis Boswell depicting wildlife, plants and industrial buildings is taking shape.

The mural is a response to requests from residents of the area to improve the hoardings’ appearance, and the view people see when they arrive in Frome.

The mural including birds and wildlife has been designed to reflect the surrounding area and its history.

Cllr Nick Dove said: “This mural will greatly improve the appearance of the longstanding hoardings at Vallis Road, which have become the target of anti-social graffiti, negatively affecting people’s first impression of the town when they arrive.

“Thank you to residents for talking to us about their local area and the changes they would like to see; we hope you enjoy the new mural for years to come.”
