The Floodlit Charity Bowls League, organised through Norwest Bowls Club, has shown incredible generosity with a £1,000 donation to the Bath and North East Somerset Carers’ Centre. The donation will help support carers in the local community take a break from their caring role.
Sonia Hutchison, Chief Executive of the Carers’ Centre, said: “We are incredibly grateful for the support shown. We rely on donations and sponsorship to continue our work supporting carers, like offering respite to people who otherwise might not be able to take time for themselves.”
This donation will help fund support for carers over the Christmas period which can be a very difficult time for families looking after someone who is ill or disabled. A carer can be anyone, of any age, and the Carers’ Centre supports adults and children. Over the past eleven years, the League has raised in excess of £27,000 for local charities. The group presented the Carers’ Centre team with a cheque at the Centre’s annual awards evening.
