The first of the Ladies’ games for the week was cancelled by Weston Bath as they were unable to get a team.
The second game was on Thursday, when we travelled to Nailsea in the Mendip League. We won on two rinks but lost overall by 51 shots to 60, so we picked up four points. The Men’s team played away at Prattens on Wednesday, where Fosseway lost on all rinks, and left with no points. Hopefully we will have our revenge with the home game.
On Saturday, the game was a County League game against Knowle C on their green. Fosseway won on two rinks, but lost overall, 57 to 63 shots, so claimed four points. On Sunday, we hosted the Ladies County Two Wood competition. The turn-out was very good, and the bowling was excellent. The players and supporters were well catered for with bacon rolls first thing, and then rolls or lunch at mid day.
Both Ladies and Men’s Captains are asking everyone to put their names down on the availability lists so we can field our best teams. AM
