It has been a busy week with mixed results. On Tuesday, the Ladies were away to Congresbury in the Mendip League, winning two rinks but just missing out on the overall shots by two to take four points.
Wednesday saw a rearranged match against Alexandra Park where we lost overall, picking up just two points. In the Mendip League on Thursday, the Fosseway Ladies took eight points with wins on two rinks and the overall victory!
The Men’s team has done well this week. In a friendly match at home against Weston Bath, they won overall by seven shots and took ten of the twelve points on offer. Saturday saw the men in action again, away to Bath in the County League, in which Fosseway took two of the rinks, winning overall and taking ten points again!
In an excellent day’s bowling, the Club’s Triple Competition opening rounds were played with some close encounters of the bowling kind! The Final will be played during Finals weekend in what promises to be an exciting end to the season.
