THE good weather seems to have brought out the best in Paulton Bowls Club teams.

The women’s team, showing great form this season and presently lying second in the Wild League, won by a substantial margin at home against Frome Park.

However, the following Tuesday, they met again at home against old rivals Street Ladies where, despite winning one rink and drawing another, they were unable to gain more than three points in their league ambitions.

The friendly matches have gone Paulton’s way as well with a win away at Box on the 7th , and at home against Winsley and Frys last Saturday and Sunday in friendly and good natured matches.

The men, playing in the Wednesday Evening MSL, have shown good form so far with a good win at home against Norwest on the 10th and a win away at Frome Selwood on two of the rinks maintaining their good position in the league. A. J. Meaton
