We had a brilliant turn-out for our Ladies meeting on Saturday, with only a couple of apologies. We were sorry to hear that Eileen was unable to attend, as she was in hospital and we all wish her a speedy recovery.

It was a good meeting and we were particularly pleased to welcome two ladies, Lyn Frampton, who is joining us again after taking last season off and Maggie Roberts, who, after trying us out at the end of last season, has decided to join us. The business of the afternoon was soon sorted and then it was out with the tea cups and cake and settle down to catch up.

Our next event is next Saturday, 19th March when Mary will be after all your subs money. The fixtures are all sorted for the season and it looks as if we’ve got some busy times ahead and any new members can enjoy all this in their first year for free! The bar will be open and I’ll be doing hotdogs, so come along, catch up with your old friends and for anyone out there who would like to know more about Norwest and bowls, why don’t you join us?

I’m already looking forward to May, when we will be off to sunny Weymouth for our annual bowls tour. Exciting times, when we will be enjoying games at Swanage, Poole and Borstal, Portland. With this in mind, I have a reminder from Ken that he would like the rest of your money by the end of March, please. NH
