PAULTON Bowls Club men have been in good form in the County League, and another win at home against Frome Park B has brought them to within one point of second place in Division East One - with just two games remaining.

The ladies are also having one of their best seasons with another inspired win at home against Frome Park. However, their game against City of Wells was postponed until a later date due to extreme heat.

Friendlies have also been affected by the weather this year with many players, in all clubs, unsure about their availability in the heat. However, the friendly away against Prattens resulted in a win for Paulton while the Saturday friendly at home against Kingswood and Hanham resulted in a loss on all rinks against strong opposition.

The Floodlight Charity match, in aid of Dorothy House, against Prattens away at Norwest provided Paulton with their first win in this round of the competition. AJ. Meaton
