Prattens’ Men won their Somerset County League game against Keynsham C after winning on one rink, drawing on one and losing on one, winning overall by 68 shots to 42. This gained them nine League points and consolidated their position at the top of the League.
In the Mid-Somerset League, Prattens’ Men won overall by 69 shots to 52 after winning on three rinks and losing on one; this gained them fourteen valuable League points.
In the second round of the Wedmore Plate, Prattens’ Men beat Alexandra Park (Bath) by 83 shots to 70; in the next round on 1st August, they will play either Norwest or Fry’s.
The Ladies played a Wild League game against local rivals, Purnell. They lost on two rinks, won on one and lost overall by 53 shots to 62, gaining two League points.
In the coming week, Prattens’ Ladies have two Wild League games at Home to Castle Cary and Away to Wyrall Park. Prattens’ Men have a Mid-Somerset League game Away against Frome Selwood. There is a Mixed friendly at Home to Frome Park. Club nights continue on Mondays at 6 p.m. All are welcome, just wear flat shoes.
