Games this week have been affected by the weather. The game at Castle Cary was cancelled by the home side and has been re-arranged for Friday, 31st August.
The friendly against Keynsham was stopped after seven ends, when an early tea was taken in the hope the game could be resumed, but unfortunately, the Green was unplayable. The Mixed friendly against Weston Bath was shortened to fifteen ends due to rain. Prattens managed a single-shot win, 54 shots to 53, after winning on two rinks and losing on two.
Against Shepton Mallet in a Mixed friendly, the game was again shortened to fifteen ends, but the result didn’t go Prattens’ way; we lost on all four rinks, and overall by 39 shots to 65. In the coming week, Prattens’ Ladies have a friendly at home to Weston Bath and a Wild League game at home to Wyrall Park (Glastonbury).
Prattens’ Men have a Somerset County League game away to Imperial and the first of this Season’s Charity Cup games against Purnell at Norwest. In the Mixed games, there is a Mixed Mid-Somerset League game away to Frome Selwood and a friendly Away to Winscombe.
