Europes’ top golfers are fine tuning their skills in preparation for the Ryder Cup which is being held at Whistling Straits, Wisconsin next month.

Talisman Ian Poulter I’m sure will be there with his eye-popping and chest thumping patriotism on display for all to see.

Farrington’s finest played a reverse Tennessee Waltz, three to score on the first hole, two on the second – you get the idea!

Second Richard Collier, Ian Clement, Steve Hobbs, 85.

Third: Mark Chedgy, Alan Smith, Bob Baker, 83.

Fourth: Colin Glibbery, Mike Mahoney, Mel Field 82.

In the friendly matches, both at home, we beat Shirehampton 4.5–1.5 and Kingsdown 5.5–1.5

In the Somerset Seniors Rosebowl against Minehead, the opening pair of Chedgy & Symonds won 4&3, the second pairing of Lunt & Elkington won 2&1, third out were Thompson & Thain, who were beaten on the 18th after being six down after eight holes. Fourth were Hobbs & Waldron winning 2&1 and the final pairing of Gregory & Musselwhite winning 4&3.

We are now through to the Semi-Finals for the third year in a row!
