At the recent EGM members were given an in-depth state of accounts from Club Treasurer, Malcolm Terry.
New staff appointments have brought new initiatives and the club is optimistic about attracting new members and providing first class facilities, both for golf and as a venue for functions. George Davis and Steve Bocquet were welcomed onto the management committee.
The refurbishment of the Clubhouse is now nearly complete, thanks to the guiding hand of Richard Sheard, and the formal opening will take place on Sunday, 17th March along with the Captain’s Drive-in competition. The driving range has now also been redecorated and treated to new mats and is a great improvement. The range is now open until 9 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays, so drop in after work to hone your skills. Members and non-members are all welcome.
On the following Saturday, 23rd March, the Golf Club are hosting an Open Day, inviting members of the public to join us during the day to try out the driving range, putting green, take part in mini-competitions, as well sampling our catering facilities within the refurbished clubhouse. It is planned as a fun day with free participation, so join us and ‘give it a go’!
