The June Seniors’ Medal took place recently when the weather was fine, conditions ideal and no real excuses for not doing well.

In Division Two, Alan Hayes shot a very creditable nett 66, but this was only good enough for third place. Len Sweales came second with 65, which would normally have been enough to win. However, the victor was Dave Couzens, with an excellent nett 64.

Stephen Payne managed a nett 72 to take third spot, Glen Crocker shot 69, which included a quad bogey to take the runners-up place, but blowing away the opposition, with an extraordinary nett 62, was Dave Hayward which included two twos.
