A week of mixed fortunes for Paulton Bowls Club which, despite the weather, has seen some good bowling.

On Tuesday (15th August) the ladies played at home in the wild league on the only sunny afternoon but unfortunately lost on all rinks. However, we fared better on Wednesday evening, playing with a mixed team against Prattens away at Norwest, in the floodlight charity competition finishing with an overall win.

The ladies played again on Thursday at home in the Ladies League against City of Wells losing only one rink and taking ten of the twelve points.

Saturday saw the penultimate match for the men in the County League away at Keynsham where again we gained an overall win, losing only very narrowly on one rink on the final end; although the match was constantly interrupted by heavy rain showers making play difficult at times. This means that the final game becomes an important deciding match but one that we look forward to with much anticipation.
