PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works.
Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities.
Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Bath & North East Somerset Council in the Somer Valley area:
• Church Farm Lane, Priston, will be closed from its junction with High Street from 10am on Friday, September 19, to 12pm on Monday, September 22. This is in order to prevent obstruction during Priston Music Festival.
• A no parking at any time order will be in place from Wednesday, October 15, affecting the following Keynsham roads: Lengths of Ashmead Road, Sherwood Road, St Anne’s Avenue, St George’s Road, Lays Drive, Charlton Road, A4 Bath Road, Broadmead Lane, Chandag Road, Wellsway, Highfield Road, Gaston Avenue, Unity Road, Gainsborough Road, Coronation Avenue, Bath Road, Kenilworth Close, Warwick Road, Tenby Road, Queens Road.
• A no parking at any time order will be in place from Wednesday, October 15, affecting the following Saltford roads: Claverton Road, Claverton Road West, Manor Road and Golf Club Lane, Saltford.
• A vendors only parking bay will be introduced from Wednesday, October 15, in lengths of Ashmead Road, Keynsham.
• An order of no parking between Monday – Saturday, 8am – 6pm along lengths of Back Lane, Keynsham, will be in place from Wednesday, October 15.
• An order of no parking/no loading at any time in lengths of Temple Street and Rock Road, Keynsham, will be in place from Wednesday, October 15.
• Palace Yard Mews, Bath, will be closed between Monday, September 22 to Thursday, September 25, to enable Wales & West Utilities to disconnect gas service for safety.
• Kingdown, Nempnett Thrubwell, will be closed from 9.30am to 3.30am on Wednesday, September 24, to provide safe access for Openreach engineers to carry out a pole replacement.
• Brookside, Paulton and Somerset Way, Paulton, will be closed from Thursday, September 25 to Friday, September 26, between the hours of 9am and 5pm, to provide a safe working area for Openreach engineers to excavate and lay new duct in carriageway/footway.
• The A368 Cleeve Hill / Bath Road, Ubley, will be closed from 8pm to 5am on the night of Thursday, September 25, for National Grid works to the substation.
